My name:
Jenny Bray
My job:
Customer Service Manager
Who I work for:
Adrian Flux
A bit about my job:
I have overall responsibility for the company’s Customer Service section. This includes all staff issues and compliance, the day to day running of the department, such as developing new ideas, practices and software to improve the service we provide, and ultimately making sure that our customers are receiving an excellent service.
How I got it / Qualifications needed
I originally planned to go to University. However, this was something I felt pressured to do and my heart wasn't in it. As a 'straight As' student, there was an expectation on me to get a degree so I started a course but left after 5 weeks.
A friend of a friend then offered me a job at Adrian Flux. I instantly enjoyed it and knew that I could progress. Nine years later I'm on the Board of the company and ear a great salary, without University debts. It goes to show that 'higher achievers' can still do very well in the workplace in West Norfolk without gaining a degree.
What I earn:
Over £30,000.
Anything else?
I think everyone sees insurance as boring or a necessary evil! It can be, if that’s what you want to make of it, but there are so many different career paths within the company, ranging from IT to Marketing, that there is something for everyone to be interested in!
